Survey reveals people are misinformed about air quality in the home

Posted on by

Do you know how many breaths you take a day? About 20,000, and most of them are taken indoors. Broan-NuTone and Kelton completed a national survey that revealed 9 out of 10 homeowners realize poor indoor air quality can cause health problems, but only 25% of Americans were actually concerned about the air quality in their homes.

What are home owners concerned about?

Someone breaking in and bugs/insects were of the major concerns, and lastly things like pet dander and dust mites. We spend 90% of our time indoors, our home should be a sanctuary of the cleanest air possible. Sadly, homeowners overlook the warning signs of poor air quality in their homes. Most homeowners do not associate allergies, lingering food odors and foggy bathrooms with poor air.
